This year’s 12th Annual Dodge County Expo on Saturday, March 27 begins at 8 a.m. with a Farmer’s Share Breakfast, only $1 per person, and continues until 2 p.m. with exhibits of home and business products and services, fun family entertainment, programs on health topics and local history.

Among the variety of home and business products and services exhibiting are:

• Financial • Buiding and Remodeling • Beauty • Animal and Pet • Ag Products • Restaurant • Catering • Lawn & Garden • Hardware • Decorating • Funeral • Religious • Non-Profit • Government • Professional • Health Care • Manufacturing

All exhibitors are from Dodge County. The purpose of the Dodge County Expo is to give county residents and businesses and opportunity to become acquainted with each other, so only Dodge County businesses and services are allowed to participate as exhibitors. The Expo gives residents an introduction to the wide variety of products and services available to them in Dodge County. It is a cooperative project of the chambers of commerce of Claremont, Dodge Center, Hayfield, Kasson, Mantorville and West Concord.

Entertainment is continuous throughout the day with both wandering performers and scheduled performances. The wandering performers include two magicians, one of whom also does balloon sculpture, and historical figures from the fur trading period and the Civil War period. The scheduled performances include Just for Kix dancers, Civil War presenters, and Zumbro Bend Rendezvous demonstrations.

Educational presentations include topics by Dodge County Public Health, information on Lasik surgery and on-going programs of the Dodge County Extension Service.

The Dodge County Expo gives visitors a good introduction to Dodge County, provides a lot of good family fun, and there is no admission charge. The Expo begins at 8 a.m., Saturday, March 27, 2010 in the Triton School, Dodge Center.
