The funeral service for Russell William Bornholdt will be today, Wednesday, August 25 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Christ in Concord with Pastor Tim Smith officiating. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service.

Russell Bornholdt, 97, died Sunday, August 22, 2010 at the Spring Valley Care Center in Spring Valley, MN where he had been a resident the last 17 months.

He was born November 2, 1912 in rural Mantorville to George and Bessie Bornholdt. On September 27, 1934 he married Caryle Marie Martin. They farmed in the Mantorville area until retiring in 1972. They then moved to Kasson. He was a member of the Concord Church of Christ in Concord.

Survivors include his wife Caryle; sons Ronald (Cheryl), Spring Valley, MN. and Randall (Brenda), Apple Valley, MN. He was preceded in death by a son.
