Viola Elisabeth Kraemer

Viola Elisabeth Kraemer, 84, died at her home in Dodge Center on Sunday morning, August 29, 2010.
Viola Elisabeth Schmoll was born on August 18, 1926, in Steele County, MN. Viola graduated from Dodge Center High School in 1945. She married Louis Kraemer on January 18, 1948 at Grace Lutheran Church in Dodge Center. The couple farmed in Dodge Center for many years. Viola worked at Northwestern Bank, Vogl's Bakery and did the bookkeeping for their Vigortone Feed Store on the farm. She was an active member of the Auxiliary at Fairview Nursing Home and the Homemakers Club. Viola loved quilting and led the church ladies in making dozens of quilts for charity every year. She was also in Ladies Aid, taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and was instrumental in the annual Oktoberfest dinner at Grace. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, cooking and her grandchildren.
Viola is survived by her husband Louis of Dodge Center, one daughter, Denise Sundquist of Burnsville, MN; one son, Neal Kraemer of Apple Valley, MN; five grandchildren; one brother, Melvin (Myrna) Schmoll of Claremont; two sisters, Helen (John) Peterson of Claremont and Adeline Schmoll of Owatonna. She was preceded in death by five brothers, two sisters and a daughter-in-law.
Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 2 at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 110 West Main Street in Dodge Center and one hour before services at Grace Lutheran Church on Friday. The funeral service for Viola Elisabeth Kraemer will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 3 at Grace Lutheran Church, Central Avenue North and Highway Street, Dodge Center with Reverend Robert Lentz officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center.
The family suggests memorials to The Sewing Machine Project, which provides sewing machines to people who are trying to mend their lives following a disaster or due to poverty conditions.
