Wyatt Boynton-Deno, son of Stacy and Justin Deno, Wyatt was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor November 29, 2011. Wyatt, a second grader, has been active in K-M Youth Wrestling. A benefit for Wyatt and his family will be held Sunday, February 12 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Kasson-Mantorville Middle School.
K-M Senior Abi Tobiason Beat the Odds K-M senior Abigail 'Abi' Tobiason is the recipient of a $2,500 Beat the Odds Scholarship. The scholarships are awarded to high school seniors who have faced challenges and obstacles and yet have achieved personal and academic success.

Winter SuccessThis could be a very interesting winter sports post-season. The K-M wrestling team is a lock for a conference title, the boys and girls basketball team are in positions to win conference titles and the girls hockey team is sporting their best record in school history.
Wildcat boys still motivated in spite of 2-15 record The Dodge County Wildcat boys hockey team had a goal of playing .500 hockey this season. Last week they were shut out at home 5-0 and lost to Chanhassen 14-0 on the road for their 15 loss of the season against only two wins.
K-M connection a boost for Stewartvillle gymnasticsK-M has not had gymnastics for several years. For the 2011-12 season they were turned down by Pine Island for pairing. However, Stewartville welcomed them with open arms and coach Steve Wesenberg is glad they did.
K-M girls back on winning track Sophomore Darby Dodds scored two of the first three Dodge County goals in an 11-2 win over Woodbury. She finished the night with four goals and two assists in the blowout win. The Wildcats also won at home over Austin 8-2 to improve to 12-5 for the season.
