KoMets, Braxton Raymond stun Austin 66-40

The fact that K-M defeated three-time section champion Austin last Wednesday night was a big upset. What was even more shocking was the manner in which they did it.

KoMets win second straight section title 41-24

Waseca came into the Section 1AAA championship game with the top defense in the section. K-M had the second highest scoring offense in the state for class AAA. Something had to give.

8th Annual Coyote Camp!

Members and alumni of the Kasson Coyotes town team hosted the 8th Annual Coyote Camp on Sunday afternoon for six weeks in January and February. K-M baseball coach Broc Threinen and Coyote player Broc Threinen headed up the camp.

The K-M powerlifting team competed in Whitehall, WI a week ago Saturday and it was an opportunity for lifters to qualify for the national high school meet March 27-29 in Milwaukee, WI.

Second half scoring drought costly in third place game loss

K-M led number one ranked Orono 17-15 at the half and were outscored 32-16 in the second to end an outstanding season with a 47-33 loss in the third place game.

Cori Kennedy goes down, KoMets pick it up a notch!

K-M knew that New Prague would press full court and they practiced for that. What the KoMets did not plan was for senior point guard Cori Kennedy to go down with an injury two minutes into the game and not be able to return.

K-M junior Braxton Raymond was named first team All-Conference in the HVL Blue Division and seniors Jacob Murphy and Derek Flom were selected as honorable mentions.

KoMets to make fourth consecutive trip to section final

If experience in playing a Section 3A final game counts, the KoMet basketball team will have a big advantage over Waseca Thursday night. K-M moved up a class four years ago and this will be their fourth consecutive trip to the final.
